FYI - Parts orders from MB Naperville - Free shipping with code 500EPROMO

I did that and all the post I saw were from years past and last year. That’s not clear to me if they are still doing that offer. Sorry but I am not up to speed on using the website.

Ive since taken Daves advice and started using MB of Laredo ( mbpartsource.com). Found their shipping costs to be quite reasonable with no handling fees
I've been using these folks Order Mercedes-Benz Replacement Parts Online | MB Parts Source [MB of Laredo, TX] for few months now, as long as the part is not very heavy, the shipping is definitely very reasonable, and some parts are coming out cheaper than some aftermarket. Their shipping and tracking notifications have been spot on as well. so I will continue using them for some MB parts for sure...

Regards,
D

I have been using Laredo too and it is working well. A lot of times if the parts order is small enough they will send it via USPS First Class mail. They usually ship it out within a day or two and it only takes a few days to get to me in Tucson. I talked to the parts guy last week and he has an interest in our vintage cars. He asked me to email him some pics of mine. I told him that probably most of the 124.034/.036 parts orders he gets are from this forum and I sent him a link to it. It’s a good option for those of us closer to the west coast.

Getting ready to pull the dash and looking through all the well documented vacuum pod related threads here, here, and here.

I got an order together: the rubber vacuum line connectors (Y one 201-805-01-22, the U one 117-078-05-81, and the 90 degree elbow one 201-805-01-03), the one vacuum pod available, and an unrelated tow eye cover. I love MB of Naperville - I've been using them for a long time. I also use MB of Scottsdale since they're local and I can pick up in person (mbpartscenter.com).

Just put an order in with MB of Naperville - I hope things are OK here! Extremely thankful for the free shipping code!

Not counting the tow eye cover and the vacuum pod... everything else should fit into an envelope. Not sure where $534 comes from, but we'll see what happens 🤞

Shipping of each piece at individual shipment in a specific size box. Luckily, yo do not pay for shipping...

Twice I have placed orders with MB Naperville based on praise from this forum and both times they cancelled my order with zero communication from them. I suspect it is because one or more if the parts had to come from Germany and they were maybe too lazy or didn’t want to hassle with the orders. I won’t try them again.

I have not been unhappy in the least since I started using MB of Annapolis and doing local pickup (no shipping costs, only state sales tax). Haven’t used MB Naperville for probably 3-4 years now.

MB Annapolis is very good. No complaints about customer service. It's just geographically too many days away. I wish I could drive by and pick up the parts. I have been using Laredo Order Mercedes-Benz Parts Online | MB Parts Source They have been shipping to me via USPS and it usually gets to me in a few days. Like @gerryvz I stopped using Naperville several years ago. I found that even Scottsdale Mercedes-Benz Parts - MB Parts Accessories & Lifestyle Collection | MB Parts Center, which is just over 100 miles away didn't seem to have an interest in getting my orders filled right away. Laredo has been working well for me. Good communication too.

I know that several forum members who live in Maryland have been using MB Annapolis and their "local pickup" option to get parts. I've actually physically run into and met forum members at the parts counter at the dealership, lol !!

Out of curiosity do you use gmail with them? I have noted that there is some kind of weird bug with gmail and Naperville’s partsrevolution implementation. For me, I was missing all kinds of communication until I realized the issue with gmail.

I realized that Naperville had tried to communicate with me because when I went to the “order status” page I would see a record of their messages, but when I went into gmail, those emails would be missing, have messed up time stamp, or weirdly only show parts of the intended message. This happened both in my mail clients on my desktop/phone as well as the gmail webapp.

I switched to a different non gmail account for partsrev and all has been fine for me at least for the past 2+ years.

I've had a relationship with my local dealer since 1996, so all is well there.

Sadly, my dealer can't price match, so when the situation calls for a relatively expensive part that won't be expensive to ship, I use MB of Laredo's RevParts site at Order Mercedes-Benz Parts Online | MB Parts Source

They're quick to ship, do a good job of communicating, and use the cost + markup model, so their prices are probably the lowest. I haven't had a situation where I've had to speak to a human, but I know my order confirmation emails have all been from a couple of different people/email addresses, so I'm assuming they have adequate staffing. In the one situation where a part was NLA or not available for some reason, I got the message within a day of placing my order.

I just placed an order with the site Dan referenced above. The parts were for oil level sensor replacement which were quite small with exception of the lower pan gasket. Shipping came up as $65.00 but a quick call to an employee named Gabrial got the shipping lowered to $20.00 once he knew the size of things.

Thank you, Gerry, for the writeup with part numbers. I'll report back when I receive the parts.

Almost every order I have received from Laredo was sent via USPS. I’m not complaining because it takes about the same time as FedEx to get to me. Maybe that’s how they can be so competitive.

Last month I placed two orders on two consecutive Sundays. Both times the orders were acknowledged Monday morning, stating that the parts would ship out on Thursday. I’m not sure of the reason but I guess Laredo has to get some parts from other dealers.

Gabe, Esmeralda, and Jessica at MBPartsSource are great!

Question - when you get the shipping lowered, do you call Gabe BEFORE you click through to order or AFTERwards?
Just trying to understand the ideal workflow. Thanks.

After.
I initially placed the order online and then at checkout; after seeing the shipping fee, I called Gabe, and he reduced the fee and sent an Email which contained a link to check out at the reduced price.

Gabe checked the size of the items while he was on the phone with me resulting in the lower fee. I mentioned the forum here as well.

THe [Naperville] ship code must be called in or part of the order communication. REV Parts does not allow to apply the code so that is the skinny on that, I have dealt with Anthony on the phone and he has been helpful.
