I want fitted an 722,6 in my 036 and now i have two Questions. Wich System is better .First one from ole Fejer from Danmark or this from German sounds Automotive?? Maybe i think wippelen from Skandinavia has for this a lt of expierience???. i am not sure wich one is the better. Thanks Markus

Markus,

I think that discussion is covered here; http://www.500eboard.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8568

My gut feeling says that the PCS controller provided by Whipplem104 has more variables giving a better tune in, but I am a newbie on this so it's based on what I pick up around. It would be nice if Ole Fejer could attend that discussion with his OFG controller(?) so we could have a good debate about this. But let's keep the discussion in that thread so we have all info compiled in one single place.

Cheers :)

Hi.

I have the Ole controller and it looks great, and also does he answer when you have any questions!!
I can recomend Ole in any ways.....

Anders.

I wanted to respond to this in short. I am just beginning to release the newest control unit. It is a bit more complicated in the tuning which makes its end significantly better.
It has a lot more tuning capabilities but this makes it more involved. I am working on starter tunes that will be reliable to use in different applications but it will have to be tuned by the end user or pay for a tuning time.
The biggest changes are that there is a multistage pressure control for each gear change. It is not just one target for each pressure but rather 2. The 1st stage is the fill pressure and the 2nd one is the apply. It automatically changes based on the ratio change and this makes it really possible to fine tune the shifts. It also helps greatly with the clutch to clutch characteristics in overlap control. It is also amperage based instead of duty cycle so this makes the whole thing much more consistent. Amperage takes into account solenoid temperature and voltage at the same time. With duty cycle you would get a change in the shifts feel if a large consumer was on or as the solenoids would heat soak. The shift quality that I have been able to achieve with this is really quite astounding. Lastly it has tables for both upshift and downshift pressures. Before it was simply per gear and did not differentiate between and upshift into 3rd and a downshift into 3rd. Which was fine but not ideal. I live in a very hilly area and constantly perform high throttle downshifts. This has made tuning those possible without altering the upshift as well. No compromise.
We still have not added fluid temperature compensations to this which will come and the product is better in a few months of driving than I could do in years with the old control unit.
All the other possibilities with inputs and outputs are there and more now. So controlling items in the car that need to be satisfied is just as easily done.

I like sound of that!! We're testing fitting a 55K in a 126C and was going to call you re: one of your controllers... what's the estimates release date?

Nice work btw!:)

I am releasing them now. I have been working on tunes to get the starting point closer for various combinations. I have done a little bit of tuning specifically on the AMG cars.
Just as time goes by the tunes will get better and require less work on the back end.
