hmm...if I do the math correctly... :?

1 gallon US = 3.78541178 liters :geek:
1 gallon US = $3.339 USD :x
1 liter US = $1.13 USD :x
1 liter NL = +$2.00

Bless your souls across the "Pond", I no longer feel as crestfallen now. :)
The bicycle stays inside for another day

DerF, don't know where you're located, but up here in NorCal, we'd call $3.30+/- per gallon for premium a pretty good bargain, and you'd like to see a line to get it! And that's for 91 Octane tops; we can't get anything higher here (besides race gas if/when you can find it).

Just one more reason why I'm getting my motorcycle license this year....

It's around $2.85-$2.95 for 93 octane Super here in Houston -- Shell or Chevron brand. Valero and Exxon are generally a few cents cheaper, but I don't put them in my cars. Regular is around $2.55-$2.60 a gallon.

It pays to be within 100 miles of more than 60% of the refining capacity in the USA .... not to mention most of the oil company HQs and oil supply out in the Gulf. I could only get 92 octane in Oregon, and IIRC 91 Octane when I lived in California. Now, I'm on a quest to find 100% (non-ethanol) gasoline here.....

Cheers,
Gerry

We're at ~$3.10/gal for premium (91-93 octane) here in Boise. All are "E10" (10% ethanol blend) except the few Conoco/Phillips/66 stations in town, which proudly advertise "zero ethanol". This varies from state to state, and possibly cities within the state, though... I tried a Phillips station in Reno last week and they had ethanol. It's getting harder to find gas without it.

:5150:

Chevron are the only guys here with "Zero Ethanol", but only the 94 Octane grade.

BTW, about $1.35/litre. Approximately, 4 litres per US gallonp

Atlanta sits right on top of the northeast pipeline so that tends to provide for decent pricing. I buy more diesel than super. It's currently selling for $3.05 gallon.

i read on a forum somewhere Canadian Shell V-Power is ethanol free...i've yet to find official documentation of this....

You could well be right, Doran. I'm going by the notices on the pumps. They do/did seem to like to announce ethanol content as an incentive to buy.

Oh, we are at 47c per litre at the moment for the standard stuff - around $2 per gallon and the UAE is the most expensive of the gulf states for fuel...

this is why I keep my 300CD which will burn damn near Anything in it's CC as well as my little CB1, 60mpg is a wonderful thing:)

Without high energy prices the 800 lb lazy gorilla that has become America will do nothing to ween itself of the fossil fuel teet.

I am in Jordan (has to import oil) and I pay a dollar for a liter.

Back in August I was in Riyadh (Saudi-Arabia) for 6 weeks.
There I paid for 50 liters of premium gas roughly 6 Euro.
I had the car washed (inside and out) for 4 Euro.
So full tank plus car wash was 10 Euro.

Just to give you an idea.
