Heated Windshield Washer Hose part number?

Hope that someone here can help me come up with a part number for the heated vinyl hose assembly running from the reservoir pump to the two windshield nozzles. A pair of conductors are visible inside the wall of the washer tubing -apparently to heat the hose. I cannot find this type hose assembly on any of the Mercedes Parts websites. The only thing I have found is a generic? Vinyl nylon reinforced hose which is cut to length. Can someone explain this please? Thanks for any assistance.

Re: Heated Windshield Washer Hose

It's a special, unique hose and yes, it is heated. Most online part sites only have a "mini catalog" of parts and part numbers.

Assuming you want to retain the factory heating function, you'll need to look it up in the EPC (what the dealer uses), or call a dealership. I can almost guarantee the hose will have to be purchased from an MB dealer (any of the online dealers are fine, like MB Gainesville, or Tom at MB Classic Center) and that you probably won't find it at places like AutohausAZ, FCP Euro, eBay, etc. Also hope you're sitting down when you see the price. Last I checked (few years ago) I thought it was something crazy like $100 list.

124-860-00 92 is the hose from the pump to the check valve. (MSRP = $109)

124-860-01 92 is the hose from the check valve to the left of nozzle. (MSRP = $55)

124-860-02 92 is the hose from the check valve to the right side nozzle. (MSRP = $43.50)

000 860 08 62 is in the check valve.

126-869-04 94 is the insulating sleeve that goes around the check valve.

000 820 61 98 is the electrical connector that goes between the check valve and the nozzle hoses.

The factory shows availability on all items.

A few years ago I purchased the identical equivalent to this same heated hose, but for my 560SEC. It's a specific part for each chassis, and even some models, and as GSXR indicated, not cheap. And not available as an aftermarket part -- only MB.

Get it through one of the normal MB factory parts discounters/dealerships.

Cheers,
Gerry

Cant you just use a good quality hose and pull the heating wire out of the old at put it in the new? Would be a cheaper even with high quality aftermarket hose.

No, because the heating wire is moulded into the outer casing of the hose. It's an integrated unit.

The hose is irregularly shaped. I'll take a photo of my C126 unit (which is sitting on my workbench) so you can see the cross-section of how it is made. It's not just a round hose with a wire attached.

Learning something new everyday

You could replace it with "standard" washer tubing, if you don't care about the heating function. But if you want to keep the heating element, you gotta shell out for a new one.

Overpriced like those spark plugs! Damn you Klink :klink:

Those are MBNA official list prices... before the MatrixMarkup™. Probably $220, $110, and $99 respectively at Gerry's local stealership.

The various discount dealers should have them for 20-25% off list, plus S&H, or maybe free shipping from MB Gainesville.

If it was my winter beater i would just buy 12volt self regulating heating cable and put it inside/wrap around or ziptie to the tube.

But if it was my 420 new hoses from mb to this insane price.

Thanks everyone. It is amazing how this forum provides so many knowledgeable people to answer questions. Such a great resource. I found the hose from the reservoir to the check valve (124-860-00-92) at
Husker Auto Group for $75 plus shipping. Thanks again.

I accidently cut into one on my E320 parts car when trying to remove the hood. I was not a happy camper when I found the wire inside the hose.
