Humming and vibration above 90 km/h

Since I got my 400E two years ago, I suffered from a humming vibration starting at about 85..90 km/h. Wheels got replaced - no change. Flex discs inspected - no change. Cardan shaft checked - it had been assembled with a slight rotational offset - corrected - not really better. Overhauled / changed the axle drives (diff to wheel) - no change.
But how stupid can one be?
Having a close look to the flexdiscs again reveals: those morons in Switzerland who renewed the central bearing back in 2009 have mixed up some of the flexdisc screws … some are M12x55 (as it should be), some are M12x60 (which is wrong), and they did not even counterbalance that. I‘m pretty sure this will cure most of my annoyances.
New set of screws / flexdiscs already ordered. Will install soon (front flex disc may be a bit of hassle due to gearbox frame mount…)

Lesson learned (I hope at least).
