    Welcome to the 500Eboard forum.

Since its founding in late 2008, 500Eboard has become the leading resource on the Internet for all things related to the Mercedes-Benz 500E and E500. In recent years, we have also expanded to include the 400E and E420 models, which are directly related to the 500E/E500.

We invite you to browse and take advantage of the information and resources here on the site. Info on new Bosch fuel pumps for E500E

You are using a dealer website to look up part numbers. DO NOT DO THIS. NEVER EVER EVER! What the website shows is WRONG. Get part numbers from the EPC or ISPPI, or this forum. Then search for the part numbers at your favorite vendors. As Gerry stated above, there is no auxiliary pump.

All the information you need is in this thread, including other parts to consider replacing at the same time, and part numbers for the copper O-rings needed.

Bosch 69608 is correct through mid-1995 USA model years. Make sure to buy from a reputable vendor only, there's a lot of counterfeit Bosch stuff out there. If buying on Amazon, only buy if it ships from Amazon, not a third party.

I've been trying to setup EPC, ISPPI (not sure if this is the same as XENTRY Portal Parts Information System) with no luck. The Mercedes portals I've found don't list Honduras and when I try to register in another country it stays stuck in the registration form. The chinese Star system I purchased doesn't include this tool either. Haven't found a site that has the standalone version for download free or paid, only the eBay listings.
Any help would be appreciated
Thanks

You have a few options:

1) Make sure the Chinese Star system really does not have the EPC. Many / most of them include this. Poke around the various directories, Start menu, etc.

2) Use the online EPC's (more info here). These are better than nothing, but have limitations, as most do not show footnote information critical for certain parts. Or, they show limited footnote info. Per the notes in that link, the CatCar site appears to have the best footnotes.

3) Gerry has a downloadable virtual install that should work on any PC, click here, see post #49. Most of the eBay sellers are offering the same / similar virtual install. A full, native installer for Windows is harder to find, and most people don't want to bother anyway (it's a chore to set up, but super fast once installed).

Thanks! I was able to get it running on my MAC using VMware Fusion. The hard part was generating the key and figuring out how to install and run the software. Didn't know all is done on the web browser.

Glad you got it going. Yes, the keygen situation is a bit of a PITA, but fortunately you only have to deal with it every 5-10 years.

I’ve been using the VirtualBox version of the EPC I posted for many years now, in addition to the current MB ISPPI subscription, for which they keep raising the price.

How much are you paying? I would’ve gladly paid a long time ago if it was straight forward. Have ordered many wrong parts for lack of access to this tool.
