Vendors for Bosch caps?

I have purchased a few genuine bosch dizzy caps from discount retailers and returned them. Seems that an additional cut was made in them and, the screws were removed and left to flop about in the box. The mating surface was chuncked up, not smooth from the bolts and also pitting from the shipping and loose bolts not screwed in. This was the best of the 4 ordered from 2 different places. The cut on this one and its partner seem to be good, the other order appeared to be sloppy and also the bolts were left to flop as well, scratching the inside of the caps.

Do we have a preferred retailer for Bosch caps?

The extra notch is normal... here's a pic from mine back in 2016.

Maybe Bosch is cost cutting further by not screwing the bolts into the holes.

Ok this tells me how long it has been. But the set I returned 3 days ago had the extra slot and the stark residue inside the cap, with lots of orange dust and ozone led me to think it was used. Where is the best supplier of caps?

Any authorized Bosch dealer is fine. I'd probably lean towards FCP if you want the lifetime warranty, otherwise cross-shop RME, AHAZ, and Amazon.

Don't expect any better "quality" from a different vendor. They are all getting the same stuff from Bosch.

As you mentioned via email, cutting additional slots may void any lifetime warranty.
