light fault indicator for brake light problem...

hi guys ,
the rear left brake light is faulty , replaced the bulb checked all the wiring in the tail light and still have a light in dash . one thing I notice is the bulb even not working gets hot to the touch . what should I do from here . its the black/red wire .

Two things -
  • Are you saying the Left side brake light is temperature-wise-hot w/o even turning on?!?!? Check grounds around the brake light. Anything shorting to ground?
  • Wiggle the N7 bulb out warning relay under the hood. Any difference wrt the dash light? Open up the relay and inspect for cold solder / broken solder joints and re-solder.
