Also willing to buy a set of panels (left and right) if you don't want to just sell one side

Photo of the 5 various panels below. Tim, do you want facelift passenger side, or pre-facelift for Euro headlights/wipers (124-889-08-63)?

The difference is very minor, the #18 will work fine with pre-facelift lights / grille.

Damn, thank you for that information Dave! I will need the pre-facelift Euro panels, so 08 and not 18. Could you change the title of the "wanted" post?

I'm quite sure that I have several of those, shouldn't be too expensive to send overseas? I'lll have a look tomorrow!

Done! You want the panels for pre-facelift Euro lights, correct? #07 and #08? Shockingly, these appear to still be available new... it's #18 that MBCC shows as NLA. About $30 for the pair from your favorite RevParts dealer.

Pre-facelift Euro headlight panels would be available in the U.S. although these headlights never made it to the States? Thought these would have been blocked for this market

Yup, these were available for purchase in USA. I bought a set years ago, no problem at all. Some oddball parts like this are not blocked... while others are (i.e., the lights/lenses were).

@TimL,
+1 w/ Dave I bought the wiper delete panels for my Pre-facelift Euro E-Code lights from my local dealer Caliber Mercedes In Anaheim about 18 years ago.:)

I have a brand new set of the FACELIFT US/Yurro panels for 1994-1995. Are these NLA now? I think it was perhaps 3-4 years ago that I bought them. They were pretty inexpensive.

@gerryvz, from what I saw today before gsxr edumacated me on the right PNs for my purpose, it seems that one side (-18) of the facelift trim strips is NLA

I have them, so if you want a pair let me know. I will be busy all weekend, so let me know next week. 😊
Hello Thomas, thank you for looking. I ordered a new set yesterday and got a confirmation that they accepted my order this morning, but wouldn't mind a second set. What price do you have in mind (shipping to Germany)

If I were the rest of you, I would order what you can (especially if you have a pre-facelift car with Yurro headlamps/wipers). Even if you have a facelift car, getting spares of what you can get would be a good idea. I doubt if MB will have spares for very long into the future.

Hi Tim, cool. Let’s decide on the price from what new ones cost? And condition ofc, but new ones needs to be painted too. 😊

Hi Thomas, I paid the following:

I’d totally understand if you wanted to keep your sets until they become NLA to be able to command a higher price.

Wow that was a really good price, when I bought new ones for my 420 I paid around €30 per piece.

To be honest I don't think I'll sell them then, it's not worth the effort if they're readily available for that price. I rather keep them then and have them ready when they go NLA. I usually keep my prices reasonable no matter what, I'm not in this hobby for money. I've sold a few really rare NLA items here that were priced thereafter, but that's a rare occasion.

But these pieces are so cheap, it just doesn't make sense to not buy new ones, they are primed and ready for paint out of the box.

I've sold a couple sets of these and I will remind that the used ones all need to be sanded to remove pitting that can go into the metal. They take a beating out front.
Exactly, that's why it makes no sense to buy used at the current prices. When I repainted my 420, I bought new just because it was cheaper than restoring the old ones, even at €30 a piece.

Yup - it's so much labor to sand/prep old ones, it's always worth buying new at ~$50/pair... if still available. Now that some are going NLA, we may not have a choice, depending which panels you need.

When I purchased the wiper delete panels I had them painted along with my lower fascia. Then after the paint cured I had it all covered with “CLEARBRA” and they still look freshly painted after many years.:)

YES. Definitely cover these with paint protection film (PPF) / Clear-bra material. This must be done 30+ days after the paint to allow time for curing. Ditto for most all the forward-facing surfaces on the front bumper, leading edges of the fenders around the turn signals, and the door mirrors. These items are magnets for small rocks that chip the paint, especially in states that use "chip seal" as a budget (read: cheapskate... cheap seal?) method to avoid repaving bad roads, i.e. Idaho...
