So, to start it all off I've been experiencing a pretty loud lifter tick that probably stems from the infamous plastic camshaft oiler tubes so I decided to go ahead with the swap and also change out the plastic upper timing chain guides while I'm at it. I've been looking at this thread HOW-TO: Replacing M119 camshaft oiler tubes | "HOW-TO" Tutorial Articles - and I have two questions, would the process be any different on the M119.982 (I'll mention that the car is a 1997 SL500 not an E500 as well) ? And my second question is how do you guys source the aluminium part, it seems pretty impossible to find here in Europe, and the delivery fees from the US would basically double their price? I was thinking of using the OEM mercedes plastic part as I assume they won't go bad for a long time but If I could I'd rather use the proper aluminium ones.
