Hi everyone. I just wanted to let you know that this site is the best source of information for any M119 engine owner. While I'm R129 inclined (5 cars) I found lots of useful info on this site. I dare to say it's better than benzworld

Lots of experienced user, no posts with "get it to the dealer" answers. I wish r129 community was so nice.

Attached some examples of my herd: 2000 slate blue and black diamond SL500s, 1997 LaCosta Edition SL500 and 1994 SL320 (EU). 97 SL600 is currently having all ADS components rebuild.

that's laCosta Edition - only 30 were made to commemorate Benz Golf Championship in JAN 97 at LaCosta Golf Club CA.

There's a person local to me - Walt Anderson. I met him once or twice in person (briefly) through MBCA events and I believe he has 2 or 3 (maybe more now) of those 30 LaCosta edition R129s. More info here:

bclifton Walt owns either 3 or 4 La Costa cars. He has one of three with the "Sport" badge on the fender like our OP does. The OP owns my old La Costa. I miss the car dearly but I'm glad it's being enjoyed across the pond​
