I had the pleasure of meeting up with Cannoli and KarlC today. This is the same location the three of us met up at a few years ago when Karl bought his first '94 E500. Anyway, it was great to see them both and catch up. Here are a couple pix...

It's always great to see fellow enthusiasts. Karl, your buying and selling skills amaze me. You picked up another winner.

Funny thing, when I began to park, and then Karl shortly after, the salesmen from Cardiff-Classics (our local Automotive Porn Shop ... www.cardiffclassics.com) came over and begun to check our cars out. Glen provided the Trifecta for the salesmen.

A few more shots for ya ......

Norm it was good to see you and all the mods you have done to your car, I'm sure its a joy to drive! LOL I'm not that great at buying and selling cars, I do better with real estate, cars are just a hobby that I really enjoy.

Thanks for meeting up with me and Glen !

Your wheels look hot too, Karl! :D

I think the other two cars may be the only .036's that I know of rolling on Monolites, and they were next to each other. Pretty kewl, IMO.

:coolgleam:

Dave,
There's at least one other Silver 500E with Monolites. I believe the owner is a member (ToyCollector) here too but I haven't seen a post from him in a long time. His car is the Brumos car that was repainted is Silver Arrow silver, I believe, and he runs staggered diameter Monilites...18's up front and 19's in back.

Nice E500 Karl. I have always liked smoke silver, adds another layer of elegance. Thanks for posting the photos.

Good memory, Glen. I saw Toy Collector at last years Petit LeMans. He still had his 500E and it looks great with the 18 / 19 wheel setup. About 4 weeks till this years event.

Hope to join you guys next year with a my 1992 500e, painted, restored and with a 420G 6-speed. :)
You know what I am talking about Glen. . . . .

6-speed?!?
Do you mind sharing some secrets on that? :-)

...and a great triple collection of 500s!

Nice to see you that you guys got together. I haven't see Canoli is so long I thought maybe he retired his 500e to garage queen status since he got that hot Fiat 500 to replace it.

Do any of you guys ever go to a San Diego State football games? My grandson is a red shirt (riding the bench this year) quarterback on the team.

Maybe I could have made it a foursome if I had gone to Saturday's game against San Jose State. Anyway I will be down that way again on Saturday October 6th for San Diego State's game with Hawaii.

If any of you are around let me know. I could at least stop long enough to say hello.

Take Care
