Need help - E420 wheel fitment

9.0x18 ET35 will stick outside the fenders. With a ton of modifications they might fit in the rear, maybe, with a really narrow tire.

Up front, forget about it. This would be an aggressive fitment on an E500E with flared fenders. Way too wide for stock 124 front fenders.

In general you want wheels no wider than 8.0" for the 400E420, ideally with offset around ET35-ET38. You'll still need to roll the fender lips and add fender spacers. If the offset is lower (say, ET30) more significant modifications will be needed for clearance, as shown in this document, especially if your E420 is lower than stock.

Yes! 7.5x17 ET35 will fit nicely. Use a 225/45/17 tire.

You may still need to roll the fender lips and add fender spacers, but rubbing will be minimal, especially at stock ride height. Use the document at this link for that wheel size.

Hello, on my 1994 e420 original factory 18-inch staggered AMG wheels for a 2005 Mercedes-Benz S55 AMG (W220) fit, with a lot of work on all 4 fenders wells, plus 6mm spacers in front to clear the shocks, 8mm spacers in rear because it is rubbing on inner well but not too far to rub on fenders
18x8.5 inches with a +44 mm offset in the front and 18x9.5 inches with a +46 mm offset in the rear.

tire size and brand is also important
the biggest tire i could get in there was Continental DWS06 235/40/r18 fronts and 255/35r18 rears, any other brand in same size will rub on front fenders on full turns and curbs,

Forgot to mention, car is on H&R lowering springs 1.25", Bilstein shocks
with these tires you have to leave positive negative camber on front so the tire will hide enough in the fenders, good luck finding a shop that knows how to actually do alignment on these, shop that actually knows and understand what you need...

in the photo below with open hood, car is on #III coil spring bushings(seals) the other 2 photos are on #I
Front and rear fenders are rolled

I don't think they would fit on E420 that is not lowered and not heavily modified, with huge 2+ camber in rear and 1.5 in the front on purpose, you can use smaller tires but they will look funny...

Wow, that is crazy aggressive fitment. FYI - those W220 wheels should use hybrid lug bolts with M12 thread and R14 ball seat. Otherwise, the contact patch of the bolt-to-wheel is razor thin.
