Notice to all, and comparing to the "ersatz" 500E badges that were recently being sold for exhorbitant prices here on the forum ... these 400E badges both come in MB plastic packaging and have the sticker on the back, AND have the black line under the letters/numbers.

Just like the early 036s were assembled by Porsche and later ones were not

Speedy's badges are very definitely "real" NOS ... I'd say late 1990s or early 2000s.

Also note how MB parts stickers/labels have in the past 12-18 months gone from the two-tone blue and white labels, to a black and white label. More cheapening of the brand.

And parts bags that MB factory parts come in, no longer have the MB logo printed on the bag. Just a clear plastic bag now.

The world has really gone downhill. It all started happening when Trump was elected in late 2016.

I don't think the POTUS influences MB's branding...

However yes for years my MB dealer supplies parts in clear non descript plastic baggies and usually little to no actual boxes. It Is kind of strange I guess they must have the stuff well organised when it comes in. Although I think I have my own parts in bin at the dealer now
