No affiliation. Rare color (looks like anthracite to me) and fairly low miles, claimed one (physician) owner and service records from new. And lots of "facts" like the $60k premium the 500E commanded over W124s...?! Which is only 100% too high.

Interestingly, the car has a Sportline steering wheel but otherwise standard 1992 details like the non-opening armrest and single power mirror. Otherwise looks stock except the head unit. Original CA plates from 1992.

1992 Mercedes Benz 500e Low Miles - $25000

The pictures are of a 1992 Mercedes Benz 500E with approximately 72,000 original miles. This car is a unique hand built vehicle of limited production. About 700 cars were produced each year for 1992 and 1993. This was a joint venture between Mercedes Benz and Porsche. The cars were shuttled between the two plants to complete the assembly. It was developed after the AMG hammer as a high performance sedan. The vehicle has unique suspension and hydraulic ride to transfer more power to the wheels. It is fitted with factory seats (4 bucket seats) made by Recaro. The fenders are flared from the factory and fitted with custom fog lights and there is a slight flare on the rear wheel opening as well. This is a genuine collectible vehicle and is favored by Mercedes enthusiasts. These were special order and represented a premium of about 60,000 dollars over the standard 124 body vehicle. This car is a clean one owner driven infrequently by a medical doctor who has service records for the whole time
using the local Mercedes agency. If you desire a clean Mercedes 500E, you will find no better example.

EDIT: I just realized that the photos are 2-3 years old, probably from 2013-2014, based on the odometer reading and plate tags.

I have seen this car around San Pedro, CA where my office is located. Never had the chance to talk with the owner. Indeed beautiful and rare color. Cosmetic condition look excellent from the couple of times I caught a glimpse of it.

I responded to the seller through Craigslist and after a day, this is the response I've got:

"Mr. Molina,

I had posted the sale ad for a friend of mine who is a physician here in San Pedro. He has decided to keep the car and the ad has been deleted."
