Folks, Happy Thanksgiving to all. My 94 E320 has been off the road for a month having a rust issue repaired. Picked up the car yesterday and no low beams. Lamp out indicator illuminates after switch is put in light on position. Hi beams work as normal in both constant on position and flash position.. When hi beams are on the lamp out indicator goes off.
Everything else in car works as normal. Any advice appreciated. This is a 315K hi miler car with no history of electrical gremlins.

Peter

Peter,

Wild guessing here... could either be the bulb-out module, or the combination switch. Assuming both are original, do you have spares to experiment with? I don't think a bad main rotary switch can cause what you describe.

Dave, thks for the quick response. The combo switch was replaced maybe 8-10 years ago so should be OK I'm thinking. I don't have a spare bulb out module but I'll pull it out and re-seat it for starters. That module is indeed original. Also the main rotary light switch was replaced a number of years ago.

Regards,

Peter
