hello All,

Any simple and good aftermarket Oil cooling system that has external oil cooling radiator for M119 and/or M104 engine?

Attached is an example of a system where oil flows out of the oil pan, gets cooled and go back into the oil pan.

I read that ideal oil tempature is 95 degrees celsius as well.

thank you all.

I'm not aware of aftermarket solutions. There's an M119 oil filter housing with a built-in thermostat and inlet/outlet, but the housing is NLA and difficult to find used. Tapping into the pan is a bit risky, a lot of care is needed to do this properly and ensure it's leak-free and robust. And yes, 95°C is ideal oil temp.

TLDR - the vast majority of street-driven cars in USA with M104/M119 engine really don't need the oil cooler. For autobahn or racing use, yes... but on the street it's mostly going to lighten your wallet.

For me, that hot south florida heat sure gets me worried at times. keeping that oil nice, cool, ideal tempature sure is a peace of mind for engine longevity, long lasting head gasket too. I'll further investigate and see if I can find anything and report back. thank you @gsxr

You might want to try and monitor oil temps on a hot day. I bet you'll find they are rarely above 100°C, especially if coolant temp is not above 100°C.

Use top-quality synthetic and you'll be find. If you want peace of mind, get oil analysis with every change to monitor wear levels in your engine.
