Possible to swap the cabin buzzer for a more pleasing sound?

Maybe I'm knit-picking, but isn't that what a lot of this passion is all about? ;) Anyway, the buzzer that sounds when you open the door with the key in the ignition, or leave the headlights on, or take your seatbelt off, etc, isn't very pleasing to hear. How possible would it be to swap it out for one from another car that has a softer tone that doesn't sound like a 1960's robot is angrily whining?

I just did this a few days ago. I removed the stock seatbelt warning relay, desoldered the buzzer module, connected two wires to the old solder points (+12V and ground) and ran the wires under the driver's side dash panel. I mounted the new buzzer unit above the brake pedal using the existing screw that fastens the underdash panel.

The replacement buzzer module I found isn't really a buzzer per se, but a compact Ali-Express 12V MP3 player and speaker. You can load any MP3 file on it via micro USB, and it'll play the file when it sees 12V+ or ground, depending on how you wire it up. I chose to mount it above the brake pedal so I can easily connect it to my laptop to change the chime file when I get sick of the current one. It doesn't loop the file (or maybe I haven't figured that part out yet) so currently my "buzzer" sound is a 4 minute MP3 file of a 2019 BMW chime. :nobmw:

Awesome! Care to make up a how-to tutorial with photos?

Also, would there be a way to do it without soldering? I've never soldered anything in my life.

If I could get a buzzer with this, I'd be super happy. This was from the period before they turned into soft weenies due to their commercial success.
