Possible to retrofit a contact ring into a facelift E500 with airbag harness?

Just got a sweet Momo m38 in the mail from @duuder and have been trying to install it in my 1994 E500. After disassembling the lower dash I am now realizing that my car has the newer steering wheel/airbag harness and not the Momo hub compatible contact ring. Does anyone know if it’s possible to retrofit the contact ring into a facelift car?

This is not a typical conversion, he's installing a 1980's vintage Momo non-airbag steering wheel (linky) into a 1994 car with contact spiral. I don't know how to do this and retain the horn function. The pre-facelift contact ring is not a simple swap into a facelift (contact spiral) steering column. Pretty much everything is different. Don't think I've ever seen a non-airbag Momo wheel on a 94-up car, at least not on this forum...

This wheel will go into another vintage car however in the meantime, he just got the new car from stickyvicky and wanted to try it on that

I just wanted to leave this here.

The MoMo adapter for the Chrysler Crossfire works on both the W202 and the later W124 with the clock spring (no contact ring).

Use a 3.3 ohm flameproof resistor in place of the airbag squib (detonator).
