Jono invited me to a professional booth photo shoot a few days ago. Jono was having a shoot of his 1 of 1 Hammer Wagon and was gracious to let me have my 84 500SEL AMG shot at the end of the day. The booth and ultra high end cameras and lighting were rented for the day. Jono had a client/photographer and another professional photographer set up the equipment and do the shoot.
It was a very interesting experience. As with many things, we as consumers or lay people don't appreciate the time and effort it takes to set up a booth for high end photography - we just see the end result pics.
The below pics were taken with cell phones - not the "real" Phase One camera shots taken with coordinated lighting. The booth lighting is very flattering to cars - especially nice cars like ours that day. I would like to have this type of lighting in my garage some day. As well as space for my bed so I can see my cars in this lighting as much as possible. Anyway, enjoy the pics. (all images Copyright 2020 Allan Lydon and Elaine Carter)
Pic #2 was taken just after I placed the car in the correct spot on the special booth floor/curved wall area. This was before the car was jacked and the wheels turned and AMG center caps leveled and final car dusting and cleaning the floor of all tire track marks.
The real pics are massive in size due to the insane megapixels in resolution - 500MB or so/picture. Requires special software to view/edit the pics.
Thanks to Jono and Steven. A most excellent day!
