Well, let's just jump right into this. I'm based in SoCal and have been formulating an unusual engine swap into a W124. My conversations elsewhere with GSXR (thanks again) have been extremely helpful, and things look positive so far.
I'm at the point now where I'm ready to do some basic fit-tries of the engine into a W124 034/036 engine bay to determine actual, real feasibility.
I've been quite impressed by the knowledge of the community here, and the SoCal contingent appears to have a deep bench. So, my plea - does anyone in OC/LA have an 034/036 that is currently sans engine, and is game to have me test-fit my engine into it? I can be in and out the same day.
Barring that, I'll pick up an 034 parts car locally, if you know of any squirreled away.
