Rare AMG Diesel MotoGP bike

OK, seriously, I have NO idea why there are AMG decals on Nicky Hayden's MotoGP bike.... and no, it's not technically a diesel engine, it's a 4-stroke gas/petrol engine. However the old 2-stroke racers (think late 90's 500 Grand Prix) used to refer to the 4-stroke bikes as "diesels" - in a derogatory manner - so maybe that explains the diesel sticker? Still no clue about the AMG connection though.

They began "joint marketing" back in 2010...just styling and cross-brand marketing, nothing technical.

Yes, that is definitely the logo for "DIESEL" clothing. I suspect just plain old advertising on both accounts.

Indeed it's a Diesel clothing thing. Jeez, Dave, don't you guys have malls in Idaho with Diesel stores in them, like the rest of America? Or only Sears/Montgomery Ward's/JC Penney/Wal-Mart? :lol:
