Replacing the ABS/ASR unit

Hi,
I have some problem will the abs- hydraulic unit on my 500e.
0 265 202 005 Is the number on it.
The failure control lamp will go on after a short time when the engine start up. Doesn’t matter if I drive or if the car just standing still with engine started.
Different failures codes.
Now I bought a used on from a 420e, with the same Bosch number.
So, time to do a shift in the car.
Has anyone done this work?
Any special moment I have to think about when we do the work?
Best Regards Niklas

What are the codes that you are getting? Reset the codes and see what comes back.

The control computer for any 400E/E420 with ASR should work perfectly with the 500E/E500. Should be a plug and play replace.

It's most important to get the codes, though. They may point to another component of the system other than the computer. Generally over the years I haven't seen too many failures.

More info on the part numbers for the computers is here:

Hi everyone

We shifted the abs hydraulic unit in Saturday last week.
From the 420e,
2,5 hours with all work done,
And it’s functional is great.
We are almost sure it was the pressure switch inside the unit that fail. ASR wouldn’t work at all before.
About 60usd I pay for the used on,
Thanks guys!
Best Regards
Niklas
