Roller blind, part number 9, the "riser arms" - fabricate or source replacement?

Hello all.

I was encouraged to ask my question here, as the option is apparently a rare on.

My roller blind is broken. (A124 810 2520)
Electrically it's fine, motor seems strong but the two arms that lift the curtain are broken - one in the far end where it's connected to the motor, the bracket has broken off the "arm". One arm actually missing but the bracket is still there.. I need to either source two new or fabricate two. Anyone ever done this?
I've been in touch with Mercedes but all they could offer me was the attached part list.

It's a pretty pointless accessory I guess but it's extremely cool. I'd love to have it working. Hope this post makes sense. I've added drawing of the part.

Thank you, everyone!

I suspect that part #9 is not the arms, but the whole sunshade assembly based on my experience with line diagrams in the EPC. What is the part number that corresponds to # 9 assuming it's a part of the diagram or drawing you're referencing?

I know there are some folks in the UK who make the clips or pivots on the ends of the arms, but I've never seen the arms as a separate piece.

Guess I'll have to purchase an entire roller blind then :) Thank you!

Dan,

Could you refer me to the those selling the clips on the ends of the arms? Mine seem to be missing and so the arms won't stay attached to the roller blind.

Regards,
Andy

Thanks Dan. The brackets in that ebay ad I have and are fine. The piece I'm missing is the doodad that connects those brackets.

Jimbo has a new-in-the-box roller blind in cream-beige....that I am planning on letting go.

PM me or look for it for sale in the classifieds real soon !

Andy is talking about the rivets which connect the pieces that slide on the rail. I used a shank from a screw but they did not stay in.

In the eBay auction Dan linked to, the red arrows in the attached picture point to the pieces riveted together.
