Seat warmer plugs

I am finally embarking on reversing a mistake I made on my 1995 E320 cab. I replaced the seat covers/leather in the car about 10 years ago with an inexpensive set I found on line. At the time I did not know that the seat heating elements were incorporated into the cover pad, rather than a separate part. Well, the installer installed what I gave him and discarded the originals. Needless to say I have been regretting that decision for a decade. I did source the proper seat covers with heating elements but now that I am installing them I realized that the wires for the heating portion lack the plug to connect to the seat harness.

What is the part number for those plugs? Or where can I source these?

Thanks in advance.

Prior to installing the seats... check the heating elements with an ohm meter. It's pretty common to have one of the side bolster elements fail (break inside the pad), which results in neither bolster heating. The center sections usually are ok.

The red connector shown in your photo is for the SRS (airbag) system, I believe, not seat heating. However the heated seat connector is very similar. I believe you can buy them separately from MB along with the correct pin bushings (metal pins to solder to the wire).

Okay I was wrong think the plugs I initially posted are not the plugs for the seat heaters.
The issue I now have is where does what plug into where?! I also have some wires that need
terminals sodered on.

Don't forget to measure the resistance of the heating elements before installing to verify all 6 sections (center, left, right on backrest & bottom) are good. Don't assume they are good.

Pity those wires were cut. Poke around the photos at this link to get an idea of what you need to do. There will be 2 wires from the backrest, and 2 wires from the bottom cushion, which connect to a square 4-pole connector below the seat frame.

Sample pic below shows the backrest and 2 wires going to the 4-pole connector. The additional 2 wires from the bottom cushion are not shown in this photo.

Second photo shows the 4-pin connector with all wired attached (2 from backrest, 2 from bottom cushion).

Where does one purchase seat cover installation parts? Can someone point me in the right direction to obtain MB male terminal posts and associated plugs?

Are you looking for the 2-pin or 4-pin terminal/housing?

At least some of the plastic pieces are NLA... will be tough to find new, unless aftermarket reproductions are available.

I can only find the female 4-pin in the EPC. Might need someone who has a loose front seat to check the part numbers on the male housing.
