Hello everyone,

Last week my 1992 500E's battery died and i had to jump it to start. After getting it running, when i turn the key off, the radio power doesnt automatically turn off now. Also the seat heaters have constant power, along with my power windows. Can someone tell me what i should check. These accessory items normally turn off with the key.

Thanks,
Mario

Thanks Arron,

All of these tidbits of info will come in handy someday to me or others here on the forum.

Don't see you much on here. When are you going to get an E500E? OR do you have one. I think I remember Jeff mentioning he was doing something for you on a 500 but it's been a long time and I haven't seen him for awhile.

If you don't remember me I met you at a GTG in Orange County a long time ago. You were with Jeff whom I had just bought a set of wheels from for my new to me at the time 500E. Anyway it was only my 2nd GTG so it was at least 12 years back.

Never seen one of these diodes fail, even though I have several spares in my parts stock. Thank you for the diagnosis and solution. Per Terry, this will indeed benefit someone else in the future when afflicted with the same problem.

Cheers,
Gerry
