Guys,

I know this is short notice, but there will be several of us getting together in Atlanta
September 5-7 centered around Jono's shop.

Cars and Coffee is also on the agenda!

So far, we have:

1. Jono
2. Sheward
3. gerryvz
4. Trae
5. Klink
6.
7.
8.

Anyone else planning to attend?

vatc5637/terry is talking about coming down..:)

Also, Quicksilver may/hopefully will make an appearance..!

And my buddy Al Lydon who's not on these boards much will likely come by too..
Oh, and my tech Paul who has an E420/5.0 will be spending time w/ us As Well:)

jono

of course not! But she is 5L equipped And we did the interior swap as well... Rides on a nice set of Brabus wheels, H&R's and sports all around. One of the Wavetracs will be making it's way in here as well, just waiting for the sway bars to land:)

We'll plan out an agenda in the coming days.

I know I'll be planning to spend most all of Friday at Jono's shop. And Sunday morning at Caffeine & Octane, and whomever wants to go to brunch afterward.

Maybe we can have a tech session at Jono's on Saturday, or a Wavetrac install party, or something like that ?!?

"wavetrac install party.."

Possibility!

Followed by doughnuts in the cul-de-sac....:-P

Don't forget the Jono Coffee !!!

And Klink will be responsible for bringing the bikini babes !

...there is always plenty of coffee on hand....;-)

Had some sent in from MD the other day, and a few lbs from a roaster I like up in Lexington VA.

Life's too short to drink crap coffee...

Herr Klink!! I thought you said you were out of that racket.

Most unfortunately, I was never in that racket! And now I no longer have the looks, the age, nor the money! I finally did find a doctor smart enough to diagnose my burning sensation during sex problem. Turns out, it's the pepper spray...

I don't know, but I may have to drive down from Philly just to meet Klink if he's as funny in person as he is on this forum.....

Sounding like it's shaping up to be quite a party.... Better order plenty of coffee & donuts, Jono.

Any further information? We're planning on coming down and will be reserving our hotels, etc. and seeing what else might be of interest in Atlanta that weekend. Wondering if driving Saturday morning or Friday afternoon is best. Wouldn't want to miss anything...

I'll leave a schedule to the locals. But I'm definitely flying in on Friday morning and looking forward to hanging out with the crew and meeting some new folks.

Glad to hear you're driving down, Doug!

I 'll talk to Jono tomorrow and I guess we'll all discuss what we may want to do. As long as were altogether were going to have a good time for sure. Who is planning on coming? We'll "leave the light on" for you.

Ar..Ar.AR....You are the ladies man.

Sounds like you guys are going to have a good time. Can't wait to see the pics.

I'll be at the Hampton, off I-85, 6 miles away from Jono's shop Friday afternoon.
Plan to go to Jono's shop mid afternoon with the Cabriolet.

I'm thinking that we should all send Jono our cell phone numbers if we are planning to come in so that we can send each other messages or call as needed? It's up to you, obviously. Some communication will be needed during the weekend, because we intentionally don't have anything etched in stone. The plan (or lack of one) is for us to get together, talk cars and whatnot, tech out at Jono's place, whatever...

If anyone has any interest, we could go to the dealer (my long suffering employer) and I could show and tell some new product just for the fun of it. Don't worry, NO salesmen would be with us! I have no commercial interest in this endeavor whatsoever, this would be for pleasure, not bidness...

PM me or Jono as you see fit, just so we can all keep track of each other. Any other thoughts?

Thanks!
Klink

I would enjoy a visit to the dealer, Klink. That would put us in close proximity to downtown Roswell. Might be a fine place to have dinner and a drink Saturday eve. I'll leave the decision to those that will be doing more driving.

I'll be staying in Norcross, about 5-6 miles from Jono's shop. My schedule is looking great tomorrow afternoon to hang with Jono starting around 1 or 2 PM. Might need to pirate some of his shop Wi-Fi though......

Klink, do you have a preferred time to do the dealership thing? Are you thinking Friday or Saturday?

Even my wife might be interested in the dealer thing so she can DREAM about all the "newer" stuff.
Let us know Klink!

We can do a dealer thing Friday, or Saturday. Could even conceivably do some on both. Whatever consensus forms up as people comment, that's what we'll do. I'm fully available both days, and on Sunday AM for Cars and Coffee and whatever else. Dealer is closed on Sunday so no possibility of a dealer thing then, just in case someone was wondering.

I like Drew's idea of a dealership visit Saturday afternoon (or mid morning), then having dinner (or lunch) and drinks Saturday evening (or afternoon).

I think I need an idler arm and new shocks for the Cabriolet suspension. Then I need to have it aligned.

It will be good to get experienced eyes on the suspension.

Always learning from the masters. . .

+1 on Sat am as I may need an alignment as well!

Just FYI, A couple of things came up that I am going to have to deal with until a little later this afternoon. Anyone that needs to talk to me can hit me with a p.m. and I will get it. Thanks

I'm looking forward to seeing you all a little later.

Had a great afternoon with Doug (Whitehawk) and his wife Linda (Jersey Girl), Gerry, Jono, Klink, and Rich.
Went to Jono's shop and just listened to these guys talk about our M119s. I tell you, they have all forgotten more than I will ever know about these cars.
I count it a great privilege to be able to learn from these guys!

What other organizations have such a great knowledge base and are willing to share/teach novice members, like me, about any system you want to talk about?
This group of people have truly brought someone, like me, to an ability to do a some of the jobs that, previously, would have been hired out.
I owe all of them much gratitude as I would never be able to keep these cars on the road had it not been for this site, but, specifically the people that make up this site.

Let us not forget GSXR (hiding out in the NW) for being very gracious with his time and patience in bringing a lot of us along over the last few years. Thanks, Dave.
Also missing Clark and Drew today.

Tomorrow, we get to tour Klink's dealership(RBM of Alpharetta) , look at all the new, bright and shiny models, and possibly put a few of our cars on a lift to give them a good look for more guidance.
Then spend some more time at Jono's shop (Blue Ridge Mercedes) and partake of a good meal together.

Sorry I missed you tonight, Trae. I did make it in time to have a beer and dinner with Klink, Jono, Paul, and Rich. Looking forward to seeing all the rest of you tomorrow.

I too had a great time finally putting faces to the posts/stories i've been reading or hearing about from Doug (Whitehawk) over the years. I'm am looking forward to today and learning all I can about MBs. Hopeful that we will make this a regular event! What fun!

Oi ! Usual suspects are busy standing around, hands in their pockets and talking rubbish :agree: Hence, the board is kinda quiet at the moment. :lolol:

Any chance of a taster photo to see what you guys are upto , a groupie would be nice ?
