I will shortly be advertising these wheels/tyres on eBay, but initially would like to offer them to anyone on this board?
Genuine MB wheels, p/n: 210 401 0202. The tyres are Michelin Pilot Sport 4. Three of the tyres have 6-7 tread depth, the other two have 3-4mm tread depth.
I have used them on my E500 for several years. With 275 tyres they need minimum 12 mm spacers on the front (to avoid fouling the front strut). Although not strictly necessary, I also, for cosmetic reasons, ran them with 12 mm on the rear. I would think that with 255 or 245s (the later might be a bit "stretched"?), spacers would not be required?
Attached are pics, which do not totally reflect the condition of the wheels, as I am currently having them refurbished (stripped, repainted and clear-coated) - so they will be sold "as new". The wheels are straight/without cracks. I am not having the wheel "flange" diamond cut - which is how they were when I originally purchased them - mainly because there can be rapid deterioration of the "diamond cut" finish in the event of a stone chip and water ingress. But if any potential purchaser would like this re-established, this could be arranged whilst the refurb is being carried out - and for which there would be an additional cost to the buyer of £60 per wheel.
Carriage within the UK would be around £16.00 per wheel/tyre, but to the US (based on current research) a horrendous £175 per wheel/tyre - which I can understand would make purchase unrealistic? I would be prepared to sell the rims on their own, if a sensible offer was made.
Currently asking £2500 for the complete set.
Any questions, ask here, or PM me?
