Don't forget that the USD dollar value has dropped significantly over years, so probably 3 million yen was worth much more then.
Valid point, but I don’t think a real E60 would go that kind of money. Maybe it was salvaged.
The way Makoto Uchida express about the W124 design at 4:57 " I like the square design " was exactly the same thing I had in mind whenever I see W124, but after 3D-modelling the car, it's actually curvy but for the eyes it appears boxy. Such an easy illusion there haha!
