SOLD SOLD: 1992 500E, Black/Grey, 139kmi, $19k (Houston, TX)

Re: FS: 1992 500E, Black/Grey, 139kmi, $19k (Houston, TX)

I did receive an email yesterday with a copy of the work that has just been performed. Total was roughly $9,500! Included in that was $2,000 for a C-Quartz Paint Restoration. See links below for details off a local shops website. I noticed that pricing for this process STARTS at $950, they must have really upcharged for this one due to the condition noted above by Patrick.

Hmmm. That C-Quartz Finest paint treatment sounds an awful lot like the Teflon-based "as seen on TV" stuff hawked in the early 90's where they squirt lighter fluid on a treated car and show how it's 'flameproof'. Similar to what's shown here.

UPDATE: This car is for sale again September 2015, new listing is at this URL:

Re: FS: 1992 500E, Black/Grey, 139kmi, $19k (Houston, TX)

Guys, I just wanted to make a few clarifications. We performed all the work on this vehicle and I would be happy to answer any questions. The C-quartz paint protection was done by Anson at VIVE in houston. Yes it costs 2k as prior to the coating, the paint must be corrected to remove any and all swirl marks first. The paint was pretty rough as was the rest of the car. The interior was cleaned and conditioned with Leatherique. C-quartz is no "as seen on tv" stuff. Please research the product and ask a reputable detailer. We send all paint correction vehicles to http://www.vive-houston.com/ Check their ratings and please view their website. Please feel free to ask any questions.
