Srs problems

Hi.
We have a problem whith the Srs system.
The control lamp in the cluster turns of when the ignition turns on.
After a few seconds the control lamp turn on again.
We have som error in the Srs system.
We got the error code nr 2, self test failure.
Probely some problem whith the control unit.
Is this possible to repair?
What could be wrong in the control unit?
Someone got a clue?
500e, -93, Japan spec.

First try clearing the code. If it will not clear, OR comes back immediately after clearing, try replacing the SRS unit with a used one. They should be easily available used, and cheap too, as there is near zero demand. I don't think I've ever seen code #2 on an SRS module.
