Hello,

Its been long time since my last login here.

Im not good writer but i thought some off you might be interested about my project.

I have 1992 W124 400E which i have made some performance modifications like:

-Albrex supercharger with Vortech billet wheel.
-Vems V3 ecu. VAG COP coils.
-EV14 injectors and AEM 380lph pump + lines to run E85 fuel.
-6speed manual (Kangaroos Team)
-Water to air intercooler system

Car was on dyno last month and unfortunately clutch slave cylinder breaked at the beginning and leaked all the fluids to clutch.
So we couldnt get proper pull, we tried to clean the clutch underneath and didnt use the clutch (started the car with 5th gear) but it still slipped so we quit.

So we end up with 270kw (362hp) and 535nm (394tq) from wheels with slipping clutch and without proper ecu adjustments.

Wow! That is from a 4.2L engine? How much boost pressure?

Are the dyno numbers raw power at the wheels, with no correction factor applied?

270kw (362hp) and 535nm (394tq) at the wheels would be ~425hp / ~450tq at the crank assuming 16% drivetrain loss (manual transmission), which is a lot of power from a 4.2L engine not fully tuned or pulling to 6000rpm. I know the E85 helps. I wonder what it would do with 5.0L...!

Look here you can see the correction factor. Friend who owns the Dyno told that the drivetrain loss could be some 10%. Tbh that is a hub dyno as you can see. Its "Dream breaker" because it wont give you any extra horses, its so accurate and calibrated like so.
Most Dyno places here in Finland will give you higher numero than this.

Tuner also said that it feels like it doesnt "breath" after 5000rpm but we were not sure was it just the clutch slip or belt slip.

But what i have talked with two guys with M119 5.0 single turbo (Engdahl Motorsport) and M119 5.0 twinturbo (Kangaroos Team) it should breath and pull past 5k with my specs.

Next year new Dyno time then with 5.0 Amg cams and upgraded clutch.

Few pics for laughs.

I had issues earlier with the belt coming off, the Albrex kit charger holder plate wasnt sturdy enough so it allowed the charger to move under high rpm.

Do you have any photos of the custom belt routing, with the mechanical fan bracket removed? I can see the new / custom hose from radiator to thermostat inlet!

I will check.
I have loads of photos from the project.
I would like to make proper project topic but i think its too much for me.

If you like to know more or see more just ask and i will answer.

I just realised that 99% of the photos are in my old phone which brokened in the summer, maybe i can find a way to get those from there.

About the belt routing, here are some.
Alternator mounts are shit tbh, those are something i need to build properly during this winter.

Whoa, you put the alternator where the AC compressor is located!

:yayo:

Wondering if anyone here is interested in manual swapping of their 034/036? Because i will be getting 260mm clutch/flywheel kit from Kangaroos Team so could sell my old parts?

The clutch in the pics has less than 2000km and the few pulls in the dyno when it slipped, Kangaroos Team rates it as holding 750nm so atleast for NA engine it should do fine.
Maybe i would do some sanding for the parts before installing.

Also would like to change my 716.651 transmission for one with a bit longer ratio. This box was fine with NA engine but now with supercharger and 2.82 diff 1:st and 2:th gears are just so short, you get only wheelspin and revlimiter all time :)

So could make some package deal maybe for someone? Parts are in Finland but i can get those shipped.

I also know one who is selling BMW gearbox with welded M119 bellhousing...

Could also maybe make the adapterplate between M119 and the trans. Just would need to find some thick 7075 relatively cheap.

Just thinking out loud...
