Anyone else having issues with Tapatalk not loading pictures? They display as broken links... but when i view the same post in ‘web view’ everything is fine...?

It’s only recently started doing this, so I’m wondering if they have pushed an update, and its got a bug.

I'll upload a few photos to my PWNER thread via Tapatalk and see how it goes.

Note that the site's "photo" script will download the images from Tapatalk within 10 minutes and add them to the site database permanently, but hopefully I can test the upload before the script does that.

Thanks for the heads up. Could well be a Tapatalk issue....

Seems to be fine -- I made this post and uploaded the photos from my phone. Here are my browser and phone screen views.

Thanks guys. Even after updating the app and restarting, the issue persists! What OS are you guys running mobile? iOS, or Android?

I’m on iOS.

Thanks again guys! I’ll have to continue to troubleshoot.

Windows 7 Pro FTW!!

What's all this "i" stuff? Y'all gone BMW on your computers?

:nobmw: :mushroom:

When did you upgrade from Win98?
LOL. I finally moved off XP SP3 in early 2013 after a number of malwarez snuck through XP's weakening security on two of our home computers. My wife and I both have been very, very happy with Win 7; and we both still really dislike Win 10. When MS drops support for 7 in early 2020, we'll be in twubble.

:wormhole:

I still run XP SP3 in a virtual machine for my MB EPC on my Mac. Works just fine !
XP is fine for a standalone box not connected to the internet. I think most Chinese SDS software installs run on XP.

Just a little update to this... I have run through 2 Tapatalk updates since I first started experiencing problems, and the issue still exists. It is inconsistent though, some posts show images as broken links, while other posts are unaffected. Attaching two examples below.

I have attempted to contact Tapatalk directly about this, but have yet to hear back.

All has been working perfectly for me. I even uploaded the photos of my coupe today using tapatalk.

Thanks gerry. Although that does make this more frustrating :D

The posts are set up differently. For the 1st post in that thread, the images are not attached inline with the post (no

... hmm ... thanks Dave. Still not sure why my Tapatalk alone would be affected by this.

That I can't help with. But I suspect the issue is due to the different method of attachments. Gerry is the expert here, maybe he can theorize...

Problem solved! (No thanks to Tapatalk, who never responded to any of my queries)

I deleted the app, then re-installed. The problem is gone!

I know a couple of years back, Glen had some tapatalk issues that he solved by reinstalling the app. Glad to hear that you fixed it. I use T a fair bit and generally it’s not given me problems. Some versions of the server software have been buggier than others, and I’ve downgraded in the past until they fixed it.
