These 5 German cars posted the biggest gains of the last decade

By way of clarification MB had already fitted the m119 V8 inside the 400E chassis. Therefore Porsche involvement was NOT required for fitting the V8 into a 124 chassis but primarily because of commercial decisions and that the wide-body 036 chassis did not fit down the standard w124 assembly line

Imprecise language for an imprecise audience... this chart tells it all, for me. Millennials have something to say about this as well, and will continue to do so is my bet. What's interesting to me is that I KNOW the millennials are going after E39M and E46M cars as well and driving up values, but maybe because they're not getting Hagerty quotes they're not captured here. So mind the data set as you're reading the article and the conclusions espoused. So this may very well be the beginning (or the middle) and not the end of this type of appreciation.

Cheers,

maw

As a point of personal reference, when I get recognized for the 036 in and around Atlanta it's almost always a millennial and rarely any other generation. Shoot, a millennial friend fwd me this article before it was posted here.
