Newbie here I was wondering if anyone can be kind enough to guide me on where this line needs to be connected. Picked this project up as it my dream car as a kid and well I’m trying to get her going. Any guidance is highly appreciated.

There is a full vacuum diagram that should be on a sticker underhood, no? If not, there are numerous references here for it.

That vacuum line should go down behind the engine, to the round plastic vacuum modulator on the driver's side of the transmission.
