Hi, looking for an honest E36 wagon. With or without body kit. German or AMG Japan vehicle.

Alternatively a 300TE 3.4 AMG

Long shot: a 500TE Artz conversion

I realize most public prices aren't going to unlock valued cars from good owners, so I am ok with a 'premium'

Buying to replace an S123 I lost in wildfires.

Thanks.

Thats so sad to hear, sorry. I am selling one of my AMG wagons. How about an R63 AMG, short wheelbase, one of only 84 worldwide? Many NOS spares are no longer available.

I had no idea a short wheelbase R-class existed. Found this on Wikipedia:

"The R-Class (W251) shared its platform with the M-Class (W164) and GL-Class (X164) and was available in two wheelbase lengths: standard 2,980 mm (117.3 in) and long 3,215 mm (126.6 in). The R-Class was sold in the United States and Canada in long wheelbase only. The R-Class in both standard and long wheelbases were sold internationally until the end of 2013 with exception of China where R 320 and R 400 with long wheelbase continued to be sold until 2017."
:jono:

Everyone also spoke of how rare the LWB was, so it surprised me that even lower builds of the SWB exist; the numbers are listed on the Mercedes Classic database site.

The Mercedes database refers to it as a Short Wheelbase (SWB). Sold in Asia and countries like the UK and Germany. A few RHD, but mainly LHD. The engine is unlike anything I have driven, producing a lovely, deep growl.

But I have a new AMG wagon, so silly having two wagons. (The wife took over my keyboard just now.)

Hi, looking for an honest E36 wagon. With or without body kit. German or AMG Japan vehicle.
Here is one I found from a quick search. It's green which I think is nice on wagons. This particular green there are only 16 of out of the total 172 E36T (957 124.092). Seller is asking €74,900 with 199.000k km.

You're surely well aware of the history of the genuine 171,272 hp AMG E36 T.
Certainly not of this northern German car.
With only two entries in the old Affalterbach registration document and service booklet, it's unparalleled. Sure, the T had rust, but the entire bodywork, the underbody, the axles, and all of the add-on parts were meticulously and aesthetically reconditioned by an experienced MB Classic specialist.
Take a look at these pictures:
The original AMG monoblock rims were also restored to their original condition.
The same applies to the well-maintained interior. Due to the long-distance company car use in the 1990s, the front sports seats and the airbag steering wheel were reupholstered in MB W124-style leather, while typical icons of the early AMG era, such as the original E36 gear knob, were retained.
