Hello friends!

I just wanted to make a thread and wanted to know what is everyone's favourite wheel caps for W124?

Currently my EVO2s have these ones, which I believe is the ones that it came with and are period correct:

I'm thinking of buying some of these to try out, since they're also period correct, but a bit shinier (would go nicely with high-sheen machined finish):

I also have these ones that I put on for fun to see how they look, but honestly they're a bit convex, and maybe not the best match.
Also, the full length-size of the star on the older period-correct ones just look better to me, haha. :)

What is everyone's preference for wheel caps for our cars, and what please also be specific as to which wheels you're using them with! Would love to hear some discussion, cheers. :)

I have the first cap you posted on my black car, my silver car has the 3rd cap you posted. I think it's all down to the color of the car.

For me, it really depends on the wheel finish. For most factory painted wheels, I like the top one.
For high sheen or "diamond cut" wheels, I like the 3rd one.

Does anyone happen to have the P/N for this one?

I'm thinking of ordering it, but cannot figure out how to find the P/N on the EPC, as they don't have any images for these.

I have cap 1 on the Diamond finish EVO II, and the same on my silver painted RS90 for the C126.

I prefer the caps with the removable chrome star. You can take the star off, paint the caps and put the star back on. They come painted silver to match the OE wheel finish.

I have a set of silver & chrome caps, each for my sets of silver & chrome stock wheels. I am currently using the chrome caps with my silver Monoblock whore-wheels. The contrast works well on my 040 500E, although I'm still trying to get used to the change from chrome wheels in general.

I appreciate the features of the cap that 2phast mentions. I recently saw some company selling them in 040 & have contemplated them for my car as an alternative.

...I also find myself digging the EVO I R129 wheels (like what captruff has for sale), but that's another story...dabbling with wheel whore syndrome...must NOT!...must FIGHT!...ARGH!!

Hello Rick,

Do you have the Part # for the center cap with the removable chrome star? Does the chrome star snaps back in or do you have to re glue it once the cap is painted?
