Trying to clear out the parts bin. Looking. For $220+ shipping on this Wiechers strut bar. I don’t believe this has ever been mounted to a car, but it does have a couple nicks from shipping and storage.

Cheers!

That is their typical factory coatings. At least on all of Wiechers braces I've had/have. Some model had options of polished aluminum (premium cost), but red is standard.

Aah, interesting, thanks. I got a new Wiechers bar for my car back in 2004, and it came as polished aluminum. That's how I thought all of them came. Those were back in the days when they offered separate W124 bars for V-8 and non-V-8 cars....

Dave is correct. I’ve had and sold an aluminum version which comes polished. The red is painted steel. The steel is a little bit heavier, but I don’t have the exact weights to compare.

I have the alloy version which is NLA/on my shelf. I'm open to offers if y'all Want it!

404.805.1357 text is likely easiest given current work load.

No, I think the aluminum version of the bar, that was specific to W124 V-8 cars, is NLA. The regular painted bar that now covers all W124 models (V-8 was combined with pedestrian 124s for the bars) is still available. At least in the very recent past.

I have a V-8 bar in good condition, too. If anyone needs one......

Gerry, does the aluminum bar require any drilling or is it a straight bolt on? What is the price point you have in mind for it?

Should be a straight bolt on. I have one on my 500E (which I then painted body colour as the bare aluminium looked out of place in the engine bay). It does make a difference to the body roll (every little helps!).

Forgot to add - you may wish to cut the rubber for the firewall - I've not done it on my car but my buddy has and it looks much better/cleaner. Also, if you have aftermarket struts, they may become difficult to adjust with this strut brace - my KONI's are fine however the adjuster peg is quite small and allows just enough space for the KONI plastic tool to slot in and adjust stiffness (sorry for the thread hi-jack!).
