Hi All,

Looking to buy the engine head covers (plastic) for my 500E.

I believe the part numbers are:
  1. 119-158-04-85
  2. 119-158-02-85
They seem to be NLA and was not able to find any through eBay.

I'm based in California so will need them shipped there.

Thanks!
Matin

Nuts - this is a recent NLA. Both were still available in summer 2023, although spendy at ~$40 MSRP each. 😟

The left/driver side (#02) may still be available new, right/passenger side (#04) shows NLA at MBCC.

Right:

Note that used ones are often partially broken. The plastic around the square hole which latches the cover down is also a common breakage point, and results in the cover not staying latched down, flush with the valve cover. There is also an internal prong that pokes into a hole in the frame that bolts to the head, that often breaks off. This is generally not a big deal.

That's exactly where mine are broken...:(

I found the pair of covers that I have. One of them is broken at the normal spot, the other one is OK.

I will give them to you for free, except for the cost of shipping. For Priority Mail, large size flat rate box, that will be $24.75, so just make it an even $25 and we're good.

I PM'd you my PayPal address. Friends and family, please.

That is, if you want the covers. If you don't, please let me also know so that I can return them to my basement shelf.

For clarity, image 9866 in Gerry's post shows what appears to be a missing tab on part no. 119 158 02 85, which is the driver's side cover. It is NOT broken. This side should not have a tab where the opposite passenger side does have a tab that is an insert for the wire tray.
