WANTED 8HDW / 7HDW (Eight or Seven Hole Dash Wood)

Does anyone have EIGHT hole dash wood (burlwood please) for sale? Condition does not matter that much - I wish to cut another hole to make 9HDW to fit an antenna switch and so I will get the whole thing refinished after getting the hole professionally cut.

Since the hole-cutting process has cost, I would prefer to start with 8HDW instead of 7HDW (less cuts)

Thanks

I don't have any, but you should be able to find 8-hole used with some searching on eBay, eventually. These were used on well-optioned .034, coupes, and cabrios.

9HDW is the stuff of invisible rainbow unicorns. Sure wish I had bought a couple pre-NLA.

:banger:

Send your Piece, let it be cut und be good... to find one, that’s matches your „color“ is not easy and refinishing is not cheap too
Cutting holes is not that expensive, 2 People does that here in Germany

...and wagons. I have a spare 8-hole Zebrano panel from my ‘94 ASR TE (extra holes for rear wiper and wash).

Wagons almost always have Zebrano though... Jlaa is a walnut guy.

And with the extra hole is for to turn of the ASR

Ooooo! What does your guy charge to cut extra holes? And/or refinish the wood? I bet there are a few forum members who would like the hole-cutting service...

Hi bb1,

Can you tell me which two companies/people in Germany offer to cut extra holes? Have you utilized them at all? I’m looking for an additional slot to fit an ASR OFF switch.

@TimL -- I believe that Madera Concepts in the Santa Barbara area (a firm which is really renowned for its' MB wood work) can do this hole-cutting for you.

It's worth it to call them and ask. mercedes_benz.htm

I have a 8-hole panel available. Nearly perfect condition and nice dark brown colored. Comes from my E420 witch i recently decided to part out.
