This unit has the "WOT" capability for extra power.

Yes, that would be great if you would. I’d only be buying it as a spare/backup, and wasn’t planning on testing it myself anytime soon.

I didn’t know the 4.2 module was compatible with the 5.0. I’m assuming there are differences, but the basic functions are identical?

It's not compatible between the two cars, but it will work for testing purposes in terms of making sure the unit is fully functional.
