This 1993 Mercedes-Benz 500E was initially delivered to Grubbs European Motorcars in Fort Worth, Texas, and purchased by the current owner in 1994. Powered by a 5.0-liter V8 paired with a four-speed automatic transmission, it is finished in Black Pearl Metallic over black leather upholstery. Equipment includes a sliding steel sunroof, 16″ eight-hole alloy wheels, heated power-adjustable front seats, power windows, automatic climate control, and a cassette stereo. Work completed in 2025 included replacing the battery, fuel filter, spark plugs, air filter, and drive belt. This 500E is offered by the seller on behalf of the current owner with a clean Carfax report and a clean Wisconsin title in the owner’s name.

The 500E was assembled by Porsche and features wheel arch flares, revised bodywork, and a lower ride height when compared to other W124 models. This example is finished in Black Pearl Metallic (199), and exterior features include a sliding steel sunroof, headlamp wipers, fog lights, a power-telescoping antenna, and a single eccentric-sweep windshield wiper. There are paint chips in the forward-facing surfaces, the driver’s door edge has missing paint, the right fog light lens is cracked, and the left fender and hood have blemishes.

The 16″ eight-hole alloy wheels are mounted with Yokohama Avid Ascend GT tires that have 2022 date codes. The car is equipped with Automatic Slip Control (ASR), and braking is handled by anti-lock discs at each corner. The power steering fluid and brake fluid were changed in 2025, and there are scrapes on the right front wheel.

The heated power-adjustable front bucket seats and rear bench are upholstered in black leather, along with a color-coordinated dashboard, center console, door panels, and carpets. Wood trim accents the dash, center stack, and doors, while amenities include power windows, automatic climate control, and a cassette stereo. The seller notes an aftermarket alarm system has been installed. There is wear on the driver’s seat bolster, and the headliner is loose.

The leather-wrapped airbag steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation consisting of a 160-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, an analog clock, and gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, and oil pressure. The six-digit odometer shows 101k miles, approximately 93k of which were added under current ownership. The odometer was repaired in 2023, and discoloration of the cluster surround is depicted in the gallery.

The 5.0-liter M119 V8 was factory equipped with Bosch LH-Jetronic fuel injection and was rated at 326 horsepower and 354 lb-ft of torque when new. The coolant was changed in 2024, the battery, fuel filter, spark plugs, air filter, and drive belt were replaced in 2025, and the crankshaft position sensor was replaced in 2026. The hood insulation is torn.

Power is routed to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission. The differential fluid and transmission fluid were changed in 2025.
The window sticker lists initial delivery to Grubbs European Motorcars in Fort Worth, Texas, as well as factory colors, equipment, and a total suggested retail price of $81,700.

Sadly, this car's case of DDD is fully terminal. It's beyond Stage IV.

When it extends to the face of the actual gauges, there is no hope and a full clusterectomy and (either gauge, or gauge-face) + full cluster housing replacement is required.
