Some good stuff here. BOTH harnesses replaced, rebuilt transmission in 2020 ($3k invoice), and - gasp - correct 500E Euro headlights!
From a quick glance through the photos, the only real concern is potential rust in some areas. For example, look at the rubber drain grommet in the spare tire well, and the bubble below the tunk badge. I'm surprised the exhaust system still has all the heat shields intact. The blank headlight wiper panels need paint, ideally the new owner would add the correct headlight wipers for the chef's kiss on the front end. Needs a full repaint unfortunately, which will hurt the sale price a bit. Antenna may have issues, note it is not fully retracted (relatively easy fix). Needs mirror booties also. Headliner needs replacement. Engine splash panel missing (NLA).

1993 Mercedes-Benz 500E
Bid for the chance to own a 1993 Mercedes-Benz 500E at auction with Bring a Trailer, the home of the best vintage and classic cars online. Lot #222,712.
This 1993 Mercedes-Benz 500E is powered by a 5.0-liter V8 paired with a four-speed automatic transmission, and it is finished in Black Pearl Metallic over black leather upholstery. Equipment includes 16″ eight-hole alloy wheels, a sunroof, heated power-adjustable front seats, a cassette stereo, automatic climate control, and cruise control. Purchased by the current owner in 2017, this 500E is offered by the seller on behalf of the current owner with service records, a clean Carfax report, and a clean California title in the name of the owner’s LLC.
The 500E was assembled by Porsche and features wheel arch flares, revised bodywork, and a lower ride height when compared to other W124 models. This example is finished in Black Pearl Metallic (199), and exterior features include fog lights, a sunroof, a power-telescoping antenna, and a single eccentric-sweep windshield wiper.
The 16″ eight-hole alloy wheels are fitted with BFGoodrich g-Force Comp-2 tires that were mounted in 2025. Braking is handled by anti-lock discs at each corner.
The heated power-adjustable front bucket seats and rear bench are upholstered in black leather along with a color-coordinated dashboard, center console, door panels, and carpets. Wood trim accents the dash, center stack, and doors, while amenities include automatic climate control, cruise control, and a Becker cassette stereo.
The steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation consisting of a 160-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, an analog clock, and gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, and oil pressure. The six-digit odometer shows 144k miles, approximately 35k of which were added under current ownership.
The 5.0-liter M119 V8 was factory equipped with Bosch LH-Jetronic fuel injection and was rated at 326 horsepower and 354 lb-ft of torque when new. The upper and lower engine harnesses were replaced in 2015. The distributor cap and rotor were replaced in 2020, and the fuel filter was replaced in 2023. The car most recently passed a California emissions inspection in November 2025.
Power is routed to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission that was replaced in 2020. The Carfax report is free of accidents or other reported damage.
