No affiliation. Price is, ahem, optimistic. Note the upper radiator support ain't Red. That means either this is a color-change car, or if it is an original Signal Red, there was a front-end accident... which would also explain the facelift. Since the hood bolts are also not Red, I'm going with color change. Edit - hood hinges are not Red either, see post below from 2phast. Also note the rear bumper was cut / notched for an exhaust, tsk. And the rear glass is standard, not compound with fine-wire heating elements.

VIN sticker missing from driver's B pillar? Is that a USA only feature?

Good question, Bogeyman. North America and Japan models definitely have the VIN decal in the door jamb. I can't remember if ROW, or Europe specifically, also have this. If so... yeah... fishy that all decals are missing. More evidence of a color change.

Fresh RED paint looks great in the pics but I would like a closer look if purchasing. No undercarriage pics. Only 1 engine compartment pic. No open trunk pic. €100K is a pretty steep price. At 151K miles it has 8K miles more than my car.

I really don't think this is a repaint, it looks to me like it might have been in a front end collision and the radiator support was replaced. The radiator support, hinges and hinge bolts should be red, so should the bolts holding the front fenders on. That would explain the facelift conversion.

I think the price is complete nonsense. There was a W124 feature in the lastest Autobild Classic Magazin. Maybe somebody thought this could be time to test the impossible…

Airbag sticker should be there. Quite usual to see the pink next service stickers too.

Yes correct, I referred to the chassis number sticker. However the airbag sticker also discontinued at some point. Can't recall that my car ever having one or?

An early 1993 car like this should still have it I think. IIRC even my 1994 E420 had one, but I can be wrong.

Edit: here’s an image from the beautiful Nautic Blue on grey half leather, it is according to the ad made in January 1993, I have the exact same sticker in my car made in November 1992:

Yep, that is correct. At least they did not paint the rubber trim between the mirror and door, seen that done on other cars

No, that is a Signal Red E60 with limited interior upgrade. That E60 is a factory E500, special ordered in Signal Red.

This car for sale in Germany is a factory 500E that received a facelift. Note the ETA connector is different vs the E500. This 500E for sale appears to be an early build (1991/1992) based on the ETA connector location, attached to firewall.

Think they are custom fabrications based on an OE AMG wheel used for the center, with aftermarket barrels? @kegmankipp might know.
