2005 G wagon V8, Delaware CL

Only driven to church by a little old lady. Yikes that is a lot of money for a 200,000 mile vehicle!

Has a few miles! (199,300)

Yea, one owner though does somewhat offset that high mile number. Probably attainable for around $20k to $24k. It does have the ergonomic seats...sweet! Patrick - how is the red/black beauty doing. Driving it?

Huge price for such a vehicle. Realistically it's a $20-23K vehicle IMHO.

That said, the G-wagen market is a completely different dynamic than the passenger car market, so you can't really judge by our "traditional" standards on this site as they apply to "our" cars. G-wagens tend to hold their value much better (and the floor is much higher) than passenger cars. Part of this is supply and demand - very limited numbers are made, and they are a far more "handmade" vehicle than any E500E every could have been. The ladder frame on each and every G-wagen is "manually" welded together by ... REAL PEOPLE !!!

The pre-MBUSA (2001 and prior) G-wagens do seem to be in a fair bit of demand, as well. Some of this is due to their lesser complexity but still excellent capabilities. There is a significant difference in technology, despite the mechanical systems and off-road capabilities being basically identical, between say the early-mid 1990s G's and the mid-2000s G's. Since the mid-2000s the G-wagens have basically gone balls-out on HP with no real dramatic changes in off-road capability and mechanicals other than increasing computer control of them....

Cheers,
Gerry
