1992 400E, Sacramento Area
1992 Mercedes 400E, 136k, 2nd owner. Clean Title.
Recently replaced:
Headlight switch, Ignition system, serpentine belt tensioner, upper fan shroud. Have lower shroud, water pump and thermostat available. (They’ll come with the car.) Fuses are now copper Bosch type instead of aluminum, so no corrosion.
All service paperwork, Monroney sticker. Owner’s manual and radio code card in original zippered pouch.
Car was inspected after purchase by A&B Motors in Rocklin, have inspection report. Upper harness was replaced by original owner.
Car runs and is used as a second, driven 2-3 times/week. It’s a hard starter from cold, but restarts fine when warm. Fuel economy is about what one would expect from an early 90’s v-8.
Why? No inclination in the project direction like I thought I’d have. I’d rather spend time driving or reading.
