i'm a recent new owner of a 500E.
Due to the wealth of information on this site, it has allowed me to solve a few issues i've had.
Long story short, previous owner had changed the maf,fuel pumps, fuel relay, distributors & rotors
to try and get it running correctly to no avail.
Im my ownership i took it to a garage to get the running problems sorted, they changed the fpr and said it was fine.
Which it wasn't.
Been back twice since and they could not work it out.
Read about the Lh module and bought one for a w140 pt no. 014 545 18 32. which cured the problems straight away.
( loud ticking relay fuel lines knocking under the car, bad idling until warm etc)
Decided to repair the original one and the car runs perfectly.
The only issue i had with the 140 LH module was revs hunting under breaking, maybe this is faulty as well ?
I will change the caps in it and try it over the weekend.
