Hi All

I have sort of fix my abs asr light issue with my 93 500E . I replace the abs pump with a functioning one as my seems gone dead. Replace speed sensor on the rear driver . Flush brake fluid .

Kinda resolve issue . The abs and asr light goes on first start and after it warms up seems the light turns off and all.is good. I have not performed manual scan . But just trying my luck if a one have any idea what else I am missing g to fix this abs asr light issue.

Any advise will be .uch appreciated

You need to pull codes from the ABS/ASR module, diagnostic socket #6, either with a blink code reader or Star Diagnostics. If no codes are present, also check socket #7 (E-GAS). The codes will tell you exactly why the fault lights are coming on.

@gsxr is probably right, but I'd be willing to throw a NSS (neutral safety switch) at the problem first.

If that doesn't work, then yes you'll need to go through "proper diagnosis".

And even my advice assumes both harnesses have been replaced.

What is rhe latest on 500E NSS availability? I seen to recall some panic buying a couple of years back!

If genuine replacements are not available- TBC then I would test the original one before putting an aftermarket one in its place.

Also - worth pulling the cluster and make sure the numbers printed on the warning lamps match the slots in the cluster. There is a small chance someone has been in there before and mixed them up. A warning light going off when warm etc is suspect could be another system.

NLA from MB, OOS everywhere else.

I believe there's a HOW-TO on the forum showing how to disassemble and clean/repair the NSS, which is our only option now, I guess.

Good idea!

Good catch @JC220 ... didn't realize these were NLA. Mine is less that 10k miles old but that may be about a decade old. I feel like that was right after the 2014 Final Four in ATL that I got mine. Driving home from Atlanta to Sarasota was interesting the last few hours.

I was able get code on pin 6 blink 11 times points to relay. I replace both with new ones when I replace the whole pump . Now I am thinking I might have used incorrect relays. What is the correct relays part# for the abs pump? Thank you

EPC shows 2 different part numbers for the 2 relays, they are not the same:

Thank you. Just going thru the abs is pump ..which one is the solenoid relay. I see 2 relays should I replace both ? My 500 e has asr . Replace speed sensor left rear already and abs pump.
