Abs lamp

Hi, about the ABS system, what is probale causes to, the abs lamp stay on, and what does trigger it to go on?
Do I have to have a read out for fault codes, check the sensors, brake light swich etc. etc,, Roger

Oh I'm sorry just found it in electrical, CAN and wiring, just assumed it would be found in the Brake forum,,
Btw, this is not in conjunction w ASR light, as the car doesn't have that in it,, Roger
