An article on differences on reliable and durable car

Of course, what I want is reliable AND durable… but I traded that one in for an S55 before I realized it. It was an ‘02 Nissan Pathfinder with 150k on it, all mindless and trouble free for almost 10 years, and I STILL see them on the street a full 12 years after I traded mine in. I’d buy that SUV again today. Today I just call cars “stout” or “hearty”, and I realize that’s durable but maybe not as reliable. Still I think the S55 and E5E do pretty well, as does the E46M — they’ll go and go and go, but you may need to help them along every now and again.
